Jewellery care – keeping your LAASIO piece looking like new
Premium stainless steel jewellery is durable and easy to care for. With a few simple tips, your LAASIO piece will keep its shine and beauty for many years.
✨ Everyday care
- 🚴 Take it off before sport, the sauna or swimming – although our jewellery is waterproof, prolonged contact with chlorine and salt water can slowly affect plated pieces.
- 🧴 Apply perfume, lotions and make-up first, then put on your jewellery – chemicals can affect the surface.
- 🛏️ Take it off before bed – it's more comfortable and helps your jewellery last longer.
- 📦 Store it in the LAASIO gift box – protects from scratches and dust.
🧼 Cleaning
How to clean your LAASIO jewellery quickly and safely:
- Lukewarm water + mild soap – a few drops of washing-up liquid in a bowl of water.
- Gently clean with a soft microfibre cloth – don't use hard brushes or abrasives.
- Rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
- Don't soak in chemical jewellery cleaners – they can damage the laser engraving and plating.
💎 Care by material
Silver stainless steel (high-gloss polished)
Easy to care for and won't tarnish. You can wear it in the shower or while swimming. If needed, just clean with soapy water.
Gold stainless steel (18k plated)
We recommend taking off plated pieces before intense sport, the sauna and salt water. That way the plating stays beautiful for years. Clean only with soapy water and a soft cloth – no polish.
Rose gold stainless steel
Same as gold stainless steel. Rose gold is particularly sensitive to acids like lemon juice or vinegar – so please keep it away from these.
⚠️ What to avoid
- ❌ Chemical jewellery cleaners – can fade the laser engraving
- ❌ Chlorinated and salt water on plated pieces – prolonged exposure can wear away the plating
- ❌ Spraying perfume directly onto the jewellery
- ❌ Storing it loose with other jewellery in a drawer – causes scratches
- ❌ Wearing it for long periods while sweating (sport, sauna)
🔧 What if my piece gets slightly damaged?

⭐ Long-term storage
If you're not going to wear your jewellery for a while:
- Keep it in its original LAASIO gift box
- Store somewhere dry and away from direct sunlight
- Don't store it in the bathroom (humidity)
